Sierra Leone Parliament passes Sexual Offences Act 2012

Sierra Leone Parliament on Friday 24th August 2012 ratifies the Sexual Offences Act 2012. This law sees the criminalization of illegal sexual offences nationwide. New Legal Aid Law in Sierra Leone Embraces the Role of Paralegals

Mayor of Freetown convicted at High Court in Freetown

On the 10th August 2012, The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC)  informed the general public that the Mayor of the Freetown City Council, His Worship, Herbert Akieremi George-Williams, the Chief Administrator, Bowenson Frederick Philips, and five others have been found guilty for various corruption and procurement violation offences at the High Court in Freetown.
